Our Schools


The Jackson County Public Schools Central Office houses the administrative departments that support the teaching and learning that occur in our schools each day. In addition to providing instructional support, department directors and coordinators manage the systems and processes that ensure business operations function in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner. Personnel at the central office oversee financial systems, building maintenance, nutrition, health and safety, technology, and transportation. Each department is tasked with multiple unique responsibilities that address the daily challenges and opportunities of our complex organization.

Several directors and coordinators also serve as liaisons to our nine schools. By being directly involved with a particular school, each central office liaison builds relationships and improves communication between the school staff and district administration. Liaisons periodically attend school meetings, serve on committees, and represent the district as needed.

In addition to directors and coordinators, each central office department features a small but effective staff that is committed to the success of our students and teachers. Administrative assistants, technicians, and skilled maintenance workers provide the foundational support that sustains and equips our excellent learning environments.
