Smoky Mountain High School Concert Choir participated in the 2023 North Carolina State MPA (Music Professionals Adjudication) on Tuesday, March 14th at Brevard College. High school choirs from all around the state may choose to compete.  Smoky Mountain is part of the West District.  The choir sang two pieces and scored a Superior with a combined average score from three National Choral Musicians of 97.5.  The singers received a perfect score in all categories from one judge.  The MPA adjudication categories include: Tone/Technique, Intonation, Diction/Language, Musical Accuracy, Balance/Blend, Artistic Expression, and Presentation.

The Concert Choir is under the direction of Linda Haggard and accompanist Anne Rhymer.
