Closed Session
The school board will only meet in closed session when required to permit the board to act in the public interest as provided by law. According to both state and federal law, certain information about students and staff is confidential and cannot be discussed by the board in an open meeting.
All school employees are elected by the board in open session following the closed session.
Other specific provisions of state law require or permit closed session discussion on specific matters including but not limited to certain information and advice from the school board attorney.
